This dollhouse is based on her grandparent's cottage in Ireland, a place she used to go and stay at. The question is- where was there room for her! I suppose on the floor but even that would be squishy! What a great tribute to her grandparents.I love that the bed is partially behind a chimney!

A rubbish bin and ash tray made from a lid with metallic duct tape. Here you see one of the archways into the 'courtyard' beyond, the kitchen, the pantry/store room (with a 'door' leading through to cellars on the other side (not really. Can standard miniatures be used to play with Playmobil and/or Lego (or Duplo)?Just size wise... A question by AthaclenaUsually, no. Playmobil and Lego (and Duplo) are much smaller sizes than the 'standard' dollhouse scale of 1:12. (one inch equals a foot, so a 6 inch tall doll would represent a 6 foot tall person). Your little lego, duplo or playmobil people would be dwarfed by 1:12 scale

These three photos are from Josje, the lady who also made the stunning Dutch kitchen- in fact, this is in the same house. It's a two storey library/study, with a reading nook next to the fireplace (seen in the second photo), a craft table and a desk. These three photos really don't do it justice. The keys actually move, and something may or may not be living in the back of it..."There are a few details to note.... the back of the organ has the Addams Family crest.
